Medical Intervention:
Any action taken by a clinician or therapist to create an effect on the health of the individual. The intention is usually desired to be a positive one although side-effects often occur. When undertaken by registered clinicians, it is referred to as orthodox or conventional. When undertaken by others, it may be described by one of the terms above.
