This is the application of water to stimulate blood flow for therapeutic purposes. It can be in the form of water, ice or steam, and its use can be internal or external. Water regulates temperature and pressure, thereby modifying wellbeing and disease processes alike. Immersion is often combined with exercises to realise the full potential of hydrotherapy

Caution
  • Beware extremes of temperature; significantly cold or hot water will cause more harm than benefits



Avoid if you have:


  • An open wound


  • Incontinence


  • Chlorine allergy


  • Poorly controlled epilepsy


  • Acute vomiting


  • Significant illness symtoms including heart failure and shortness of breath




Refrain form urinating in public hydrotherapy sites
